Post-ecstatic Leaf Romping

Years after Frodo died I was constantly dreaming about him, I felt that something was unfinished. Doing this painting brought a sense of closure as I imagined him in cat heaven. A brilliant mosaic of autumn leaves seems to me to be pure perfection. I used for reference my own photograph, taken from above, he was lounging in an armchair. I saw the seat as the ground and the back as a brick wall coming up towards the viewer.
